What are the best resources for someone who has just been diagnosed?

A great resource for a young adult with cancer is www.planetcancer.com

It is a networking site for us cancer survivors between 15 and 40.

Planet Cancer also has retreats from time to time. There is one coming up end of August for young adults

Jodi,

I do not know much about the cyberknife treatment, but I have a friend who went through Cyberknife therapy about a year ago for colon cancer and it was successful. I know that this has shown some encouraging results in metasticized liver cancers in recent years. We will ask around and let you know what we find out.

I believe University of Pittsburg does this for liver cancers.

I think it would be great if we could get everyone or at least alot of us to fill out like a Volentary Information Form. Maybe we could find something that we have in common or at least some of us even. I think it would be a great start to research. I don't mind writing my life history down if it would help! Just a suggestion.

And I was thinking we should start a walk for FHC. Maybe once a year in a certain spot. We could all get pledges, and have friends and family join with us. I would fly somewhere to walk. Just thought maybe we could raise some money that way too.
