| What are the best resources for someone who has just been diagnosed? |
A great resource for a young adult with cancer is www.planetcancer.com
It is a networking site for us cancer survivors between 15 and 40. |
| Planet Cancer also has retreats from time to time. There is one coming up end of August for young adults |
Has anyone heard of this cyberknife?

I just seen it on a commerical. I'm not good at research but from what I read it seems like it might be somthing to give a try. |
Jodi,
I do not know much about the cyberknife treatment, but I have a friend who went through Cyberknife therapy about a year ago for colon cancer and it was successful. I know that this has shown some encouraging results in metasticized liver cancers in recent years. We will ask around and let you know what we find out.
I believe University of Pittsburg does this for liver cancers.

I think it would be great if we could get everyone or at least alot of us to fill out like a Volentary Information Form. Maybe we could find something that we have in common or at least some of us even. I think it would be a great start to research. I don't mind writing my life history down if it would help! Just a suggestion.
And I was thinking we should start a walk for FHC. Maybe once a year in a certain spot. We could all get pledges, and have friends and family join with us. I would fly somewhere to walk. Just thought maybe we could raise some money that way too. |
